Provincial Government
A new government department needed to determine its area of focus and mandate. We met these goals by:

· Facilitating planning sessions with the senior managers of the new department;
· Researching comparable organizations across Canada and
· Identifying priorities and establishing vision, mission and value sets.

Aboriginal HR Development Centre
In order to effectively evaluate project proposals, the Centre needed to develop a strategic plan for the multiple stakeholders involved in the proposal commissioning process. Beyond Excellence assisted them in developing their long-term strategic plan by:

· Hosting a one-day strategic planning session;
· Interviewing each of the stakeholders on an individual basis;
· Identifying the make up of the future proposal commissioning committee and
· Developing an immediate action plan and a long-term strategy document.

Business Incubator
Working with the senior management team, Beyond Excellence facilitated planning sessions to identify and achieve a number of organizational objectives. Their challenge was to find a facilitator who could understand their session objectives and turn those objectives into functional results. We accomplished this by:

· Holding a number of off-site ”envisioning” sessions with the team;
· Identifying value drivers and strategic drivers for each stakeholder set and
· Drafting a strategic action plan document and follow up recommendations.

International Trade
The federal and provincial governments assist Manitoba companies in taking advantage of export markets. We were extensively involved in helping them set their strategic direction for the coming years by:

· Performing individual interviews in Manitoba and across Canada;
· Facilitating an open strategic planning session;
· Completing a literature review and electronic research on comparable trade networks in North America and
· Developing a one-year work plan and a long-term framework document.

Beyond Excellence Around the World

Along with our local and national clients, Beyond Excellence has contributed to exciting projects on the international scene.

Tel-Aviv/Jerusalem, Israel
Beyond Excellence was invited to participate in a sixty person business and trade delegation to Israel. During the visit, we liaised with business leaders from the information technology and bio-tech fields and toured an innovative business incubator.

Since returning from the delegation, Beyond Excellence has hosted a group of business people from Israel and worked toward developing a Manitoba-Israel collaborative network.

Tunisia, Africa
ExecuTrain delivers high quality learning solutions – ranging from business applications to skills-based certification programs. Beyond Excellence assisted the northern African franchise with opening their new flagship in Tunis, Tunisia. In addition to hiring and training all staff, Beyond Excellence worked on-site to implement the processes and programs required for a successful launch.

Royal Danish Embassy
Beyond Excellence was asked by the Danish Ambassador to Canada to serve as the liaison for a visit by the Ambassador and a number of trade representatives. Beyond Excellence arranged seminars and individual visits to companies interested in exporting to Denmark and Europe.
